I provide CPD training in Project Management with Lifegate Communities Ltd for Proffessional Fellows under the Common Wealth Scolarships Commission UK
I am responsible for managing the external programmes delivered by the Centre in areas of project management and Community focused initiatives.This includes Seminars, networking workshops, focus groups, short courses as well as development of Bids and proposals. e.g for the English National Heriage Building Project funds and Sustainable Architecture Projects within the UK
Education and Experience
Interest- Architecture, creating things, technical drawing and Fine Arts, drawing free hand sketches, Arts and design.
These in-turn framed my professional journey in Architecture and the built environment;
!984-1990- Secondary education
1991-1997- 4years undergraduate BSc degree in Architecture. (1997 with honors second class upper) and 2years MSc Degree in Architecture (1999)
1999-2002- Post graduation, I worked as a graduate architect and developed skills in designing for private as well as public sector clients. I gained experience as a resident site architect in Archisyntax Nigeria Ltd. working on different construction housing designs for 832 housing Units for a Client Abuja Investment and Property Development (AIPD) project in Kubwa as well as on the Gwarimpa 3, 4 & 5 Bedroom Housing Estate Project.
2002- 2005 I gained experience working on commercial projects for Zenith Bank Plc in Lagos. My job description involved the re-development of existing office spaces to accomodate banking activities, innovative design layout and creative interior designs for renovations, extensions and new builds branches, of the former Head office building, Annex buildings and the then proposed new ZB Tower project. I was in charge of the team that handled aspects of onsite construction management, tender processes as well quality control and maintenance of existing and new properties (For which I was awarded the MD-CEO’s award for Best Head Office Non Marketing Staff 2002/2003 in Property). In addition to these, I designed and procured finishes and furniture for ZB head office as well as upcountry branches from 2002 until 2005 September. I was Team leader on Quality control and Maintenance of the Head office as well as branch buildings in Lagos and upcountry involving site construction management, finishes and furniture procurement, office space and branch design, budgeting, and landscaping projects
2005-2006 - Masters in Construction project management at Wolverhampton University.
April 2006, I was offered a position as an associate researcher and Visiting Lecturer on a PhD studentship.
My research aimed to develop a novel methodology for E-learning space design on HEI Campuses. I successfully completed my Doctoral studies in 2011
2012- After graduation from Wolverhampton University, I worked on a commercial build project for a registered UK Charity as the architectural consultant/PM I handled all aspects of architectural design work and project management.
